A. Fasting Plasma Glucose (FPG) Test

  • Measures blood sugar after 8+ hours of fasting.

    • Prediabetes: 100–125 mg/dL

    • Diabetes: ≥ 126 mg/dL (confirmed with repeat testing)

B. Hemoglobin A1c Test

    • Diabetes: ≥ 6.5%

C. Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT)

D. Random Plasma Glucose Test

  • Checks blood sugar at any time (no fasting).
